Responsibility:
1. Patient Triage and Assessment:
- Perform initial patient triage to determine the severity of injuries or illnesses.
- Gather relevant patient information such as vital signs, medical history, and chief complaints.
- Assist in conducting preliminary assessments and examinations under the direction of healthcare professionals.
- Record and document patient information accurately and efficiently.

2. Emergency Medical Procedures:
- Assist in emergency medical procedures such as wound care, splinting, and immobilization
- Prepare and assist with the administration of medications and treatments as directed by healthcare professionals.
- Monitor patient response to treatments and interventions, reporting any changes or concerns to the healthcare team.
- Perform basic life support techniques, including cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) when necessary.
- To be on alert on the activation and participation in emergency responses as and when required.
3. Medical Equipment and Supplies:
- Prepare and maintain medical equipment and supplies required for patient care and emergency care.
- Ensure the availability and proper functioning of emergency equipment, such as defibrillators, oxygen supplies, and suction devices.
- Restock and replenish medical supplies to ensure an adequate inventory at all times.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
4. Patient Support and Communication:
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families during times of distress.
- Communicate effectively with patients, conveying information about procedures, treatments, and discharge instructions.
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as nurses and physicians, to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Assist in patient transportation, including transferring patients to different departments or facilities when necessary.
5. Administrative Tasks:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records, including electronic documentation and patient charts.
- Assist in scheduling patient appointments and follow-up visits.
- Facilitate the efficient flow of patients by coordinating with other hospital departments and staff.
Requirements:
- Minimum diploma in the required field.
- Knowledge of patient care charts and patient histories, patient evaluation and triage procedures, and outpatient clinical administrative procedures.
- Knowledge of safety, environmental, and/or infection control methods.
- Fresh graduates and above.
- Important character traits are reliability (dependability), honesty, and tolerance.
