Shipping & Logistics:
- Ensure all Shipping & Logistics related documents are verified and updated & readily available for Management review on daily basis.
- You will be sourcing freight quotations and price negotiation based on cost, quality, service, availability, and reliability.
- You need to maintain a good relationship with Shipping lines & Freight Forwarders.
- Responsible for shipping cost management, propose cost saving strategy and analysis, tracking of logistic spending.
- Tracking of shipments to ensure Loading & delivery of cargo within specified/requested period.
- Liaise well with internal divisions, freight forwarders and carriers to ensure smooth operation for import and export shipments.
Shipment Planning:
- Ensure all Shipment Planning related reports are verified and updated & readily available for Management review on daily basis.
- Co-ordinate with all local and international Suppliers.
- Prepare Shipping Instruction based Sales Team Requirements.
- Monitor Shipments and ensure suppliers load cargo as per Our Requirements.
- Promptly address and resolve Shipment issues with Supplier to minimise delays in Shipment loading.
- Compiling status and performance reports and submitting them to management in a timely manner.
- Promptly inform the relevant departments of changes to current shipment plan.
Procurement:
- Ensure all Procurement related documents are verified and updated & readily available for Management review on daily basis.
- Responsible for the ongoing purchasing and sourcing activities that could generate more cost-saving for the company.
- Perform in a purchase, delivery planning, delivery control and stock control of materials.
- Working closely with cross-functional teams for cost control and recommending purchasing process improvements.
- Perform supplier sourcing, evaluation, assessment and selection, negotiation, performance monitoring, vendor relationship management and continuous improvement for the company.
- Responsible to process purchase orders and material requests
- Monitor and coordinate delivery.
- Maintain and upkeep a good vendor management system.
- Deal with suppliers on any quality issues, product replacements, product sample requests, pricing etc.
**Perform other responsibilities as assigned by superior or Management from time to time.
Requirements and skills:
*Degree / Diploma with a minimum of 3 – 5 years related working experience, preferably in manufacturing industries.
*English Speaking & Written Skills are Mandatory. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
*Good analytical skills.
*Preferably with experience in, supplier liaison, export and shipping administration, documentation, and preparation of reports.
*Willing to travel to meet business partners to resolve any operational or adhoc issues.
*Good team player and able to work under minimal supervision with a sense of urgency.
*Computer literacy and well-versed in Microsoft Office applications e.g. Excel, Words, PowerPoint.
*Good track record of responsibility, resourceful and able to work independently.
*Willing to work in Johor Bahru.
