Texas Instruments (TI) Government Relations represents the company on important public policy, operational issues and projects with key federal and state government authorities and industry associations. In this role, you will advocate and support TI policy priorities with government and gain direct exposure to operations and various project leaders of the company.
Responsibilities include, but not limited to:

- Represent TI externally with Federal and State officials, local authorities and community leaders in communities where TI operates.
- Identify policy issues that could impact TI priorities and work with internal stakeholders to formulate positions on issues.
- Directly engage with relevant decision-makers related to applications and expansion projects.
- Develop strategies and networks to advance industry policy objectives. Have an excellent knowledge of relevant government decision making processes.
- Closely monitor and analyze Federal and State policy developments in order to inform relevant internal leaders and recommend strategies and solutions.
- Facilitate successful factory tours, site visits and use other communications tools in order to develop knowledge of TI manufacturing operations and the semiconductor industry.
- Partner with workforce development teams in order to build a network of partners from the Federal and State government stakeholders and the academia to implement STEM-related and manufacturing education programs and policies.
- Develop and maintain strategic relationships with Federal and State representatives and leadership and key community partners.
- Prepare policy briefings, advocacy materials, testimony, and correspondence on legislative/regulatory actions.
- Promote TI's reputation and thought leadership
- Position senior executives to most effectively advance, engage and communicate on TI public policy objectives.
Minimum requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree in relevant background
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experiences.
- 5+ years of similar issues management in policy areas, manufacturing and projects with a proven track record.
- Solid knowledge of Federal and State legislative, regulatory and authority approval process.
- Excellent and persuasive written, oral and presentation communications skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia. Can communicate effectively at all levels.
- Excellent interpersonal and presentation skills with a demonstrated ability to work in a team environment.
- Self-starter, who solves problems, adapts to changing circumstances and acts with urgency.
- Knowledge of technology policy, operational and project issues of semiconductor manufacturing industry.
- Occasional travel to Kuala Lumpur and Putrajaya.
- Experience working with government officials at all levels.
- High level of professionalism and discretion in handling confidential information.
